📦 Shipping & Returns – AK Molds

At AK Molds, we keep our policies fair, transparent, and customer-friendly.

All silicone molds are handcrafted in Ireland using premium Platinum-Cure silicone (Food Grade and Craft Grade).

This page explains our shipping, delivery, and return policies in line with EU consumer protection rules.

🚚 Shipping Information

Origin & Legal Entity

All orders are shipped from County Louth, Ireland (EU).

AK Molds is the commercial brand of AK hand craft, a registered sole trader in Ireland.

Payments and invoices will appear under AK hand craft, while the product brand name remains AK Molds.

Processing Time

Orders are usually dispatched within 3–5 business days after payment.

During peak periods (holidays, big releases), processing may take longer.

Carriers

We use An Post, DPD, Royal Mail, or UPS depending on the destination and parcel size. Tracking is provided where available.

Estimated Delivery Times

Ireland & Northern Ireland: 1–3 business days

United Kingdom: 3–7 business days

EU countries: 3–10 business days

Rest of world: 7–21 business days (varies by customs and destinations 

Shipping Rates (tracked, by destination & weight)

Ireland: up to 1kg – €6.40; over 1kg (up to 20kg) – €10.86; free shipping over €100 (up to 10kg)

Northern Ireland & UK: up to 2kg – €8; 2–10kg – €10.86; 10–20kg – €16; free shipping over €100 (up to 10kg)

EU countries: up to 10kg – €21.65; 10–20kg – €30; contact us for larger orders

Rest of world: international shipping available on request – contact us at info@siliconemolds.ie

Customs & Import Fees

AK Molds (AK hand craft) is not VAT-registered; no VAT is added at checkout.

Buyers are responsible for import duties/taxes in their country.

Customs delays are outside our control.

Local Pickup (Co. Louth, Ireland)

Available at checkout. We will email you to arrange collection once your order is ready.

🔄 Returns & Refunds

We want you to be completely happy with your molds. If you need to return an item, please note the following:

Eligibility

Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery.

Items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.

Email us within 14 days of receipt, and send the return within 14 days after notifying us.

Returns without prior contact may be refused.

Non-Returnable Items

Custom-made or personalised molds

Used or opened products (including food-contact molds once unsealed/used)

Items returned outside the 14-day window

Return Shipping

Buyer covers return postage.

Please use a tracked service; we cannot be liable for lost returns.

Refunds

Issued once the item is received and inspected, no later than 14 days from cancellation notice.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method (processing may take 5–10 business days depending on your bank).

Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your parcel arrives damaged or you receive an incorrect item, please email photos within 48 hours of delivery.

We will replace or refund affected items at no cost to you.

Exchanges

We do not offer exchanges. Please return the item and place a new order.
